Brocks Hill Primary School is looking to appoint enthusiastic and conscientious SEND Learning Support Assistant to work within the school for 30 hours a week (job share will be considered). Term time only, plus 1 week additional hours.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. You will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support that enables pupils to access learning and thrive in a safe, nurturing environment. We are looking for someone to support children with a range of complex needs, including communication difficulties and sensory impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with complex needs.

Assist with personal care and medical needs where required.

Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.

Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) or complex needs (desirable).

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children.

Ability to follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to undertake relevant training (including safeguarding and medical procedures).
