We are looking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated SENDCo to join our school in the Autumn Term. This is a full time SENDCo post, with no class responsibility.

The ideal candidate will support staff in their drive to provide continuous improvement for our pupils with special educational needs.

Broom Leys is a large primary school (615 on roll), with three classes in each year group. Within each year group teachers work in teams, alongside expert Learning Support Assistants and Cover Supervisors (who provide PPA and other release time).

Why would you choose Broom Leys?

If you were to gain employment at Broom Leys you will find children who enjoy school, are positive about their experiences and who will make you feel very welcome.

We have excellent facilities including two computer suites, a newly refurbished music room, several quiet rooms, a large hall and library. The outdoor environment extends to 9 acres and includes a good sized playing field, a ball court, nature areas and mature grounds for outdoor learning, including Forest Schools.

Music and the Arts play a large part in school life. We have a vibrant choir and endeavour to provide children with a range of opportunities to participate in and to enjoy live performances.

Sport is a real strength. We have been awarded the School Games Platinum Award. But don’t worry if you’re not a sports specialist; we employ our own PE and Sports coach who will teach alongside you to develop your skills and confidence in this area.

The Lionheart Educational Trust is a renowned family of fourteen schools based in and around Leicestershire. We strive to provide the highest quality education in each of our unique schools, raising the attainment of our talented students and reflecting the local communities of which they are a part. We are well supported by our Trust and our local Governing Body; ensuring we create to develop and improve.
