Job Title: Lead Teacher- Lionheart Educational Trust
Reporting to: Director of Curriculum
Salary: Leadership pay range: L1-5
Hours: Full time
Teaching hours: 0.6fte will be based at one of Lionheart trust secondary schools. This will be matched to the candidates experience and skill and geographical preference where possible, but will reflect the needs of the trust.
0.4fte will be provided to the successful candidate to undertake a strategic role, developing leadership skills and undertaking improvement projects linked to their subject and the trust’s development plan.
This is an exciting new position for a highly effective classroom teacher and leader who is ready to embark on their next stage of their career and gain some trust wide leadership experience. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about making a difference beyond their own classroom and ready to make a difference to a wide range of learners. They will be a confident and competent practitioner with a track record of strong outcomes and they will bring with them creative ideas, a willingness to work hard as part of a team. They will work to ensure standards of provision and a quality curriculum intent across a range of secondary schools. They will be eager to support and facilitate professional learning of colleagues, working with our Computing Hub, run by the National Centre for Computing Education linked to Beauchamp College.
The right candidate will be flexible and will embrace the opportunity to network across the Lionheart schools with other subject specialists and leaders. They will be prepared to join other teams at other Lionheart schools to support our range of diverse contexts, after the first initial year in post. This opportunity will allow them to gain a breadth of experience and embrace new challenges supporting them to develop into a strong trust wide leader of the future.
The successful candidate will be a subject specialist and will understand that their first and foremost responsibility is to model excellence in the classroom, monitoring the progress their learners make and be able to teach across KS3 and KS4. Some experience of teaching at KS5 would be desirable but not essential.
