Walton Oak Primary School wishes to appoint a Early Years Teaching Assistant. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative individual who can bring high quality support to children in Early Years Foundation Stage. They will join a hardworking and dedicated team of teachers and support staff, who are committed to improving outcomes for children in their care. We are looking for somebody who is not afraid to make mud pies and, if asked to be a zoo keeper, can jump into role and immerse themselves in the children’s play. We are looking to appoint somebody who can be flexible and support learning in a creative way.
We are recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant (32.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday), term time only (39 weeks per year). This is a permanent position.

Our ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in Early Years and hold a minimum of Level 2 qualification which is full and relevant to the Early Years setting;
- Positively promote inclusion and enjoy taking the lead when working with our youngest children and inspire them to achieve high standards and realise their potential;
- Have a calm and caring approach with children, providing diligence and confidence necessary to support our Children;
- Be a team player who can work successfully in collaboration with all the stakeholders and contribute towards the school’s ethos and it whole school improvement activities;
- Be able to create a castle, act like a giraffe make noises you’d find in a construction site and encourage children to do the same!
