The role will involve the preparation of meeting papers, taking minutes and other administrative tasks that will ensure that the school's governance processes run smoothly. The successful candidate will be led and fully supported by our Trust Governance Professional and will work closely with the school’s Headteacher and Chair of Governors.

The hours of the role are flexible – averaging around 15-20hrs per term which can be worked in a way that suits the successful candidate and the needs of the LGB. It is likely the majority of them will be worked around the time of each termly LGB meeting which the Clerk will be expected to attend in person as a non-negotiable, alongside our diverse and friendly local governors.

The successful applicant would start in December 2025 and spend the last few weeks of the Autumn Term and the Spring Term shadowing our current outsourced clerking service to ensure they are fully prepared to take on the role independently from the end of the Spring Term 2026.
