We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, proactive, skilled and reliable individual to take on the role of Residential School Caretaker at Saxon Primary School. We believe this is a great opportunity for an individual with proven building and maintenance experience, ideally within a school environment to join our friendly, inclusive and aspirational team of teaching and support staff.

The successful candidate will live on-site in the *School Caretaker’s House, providing a security and caretaking service to the school and managing a high level of maintenance of the school buildings and grounds. They will work with external contractors for both emergency and routine matters and facilitate the estates management of the school and external events/lettings. They will work closely with the School Business Leader and Trust Estates Manager to ensure cost effective use of materials and equipment, carry out risk assessments, maintain maintenance schedules and monitor performance of outside contractors. *Occupancy Charge applies

It is essential the successful candidate can organise their own workload and effectively prioritise tasks whilst having a flexible approach to their work. They must enjoy working as part of a team, be adaptable and supportive of colleagues. They must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Salary: PS5 £29,752 - £31,873 per annum, dependant on experience

Residence: In order to perform this role, it is necessary for the Caretaker to reside in the accommodation provided. An occupation charge of 10% of gross salary will be deducted from the salary each month.

Hours: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. Monday to Friday (7.75 hours per day worked as a split shift), Saturday 1.25 hours per day
