Welcome

Our aim is to create a happy, secure learning environment rooted in Christian and British Values which enable all children to achieve success.

We treat all our pupils individually, developing their self-esteem and confidence and enabling their unique talents to flourish. We firmly believe that by teaching children how to live life in all its fullness, they will remember it throughout their life and will be able to make wise choices that will enable them to flourish and succeed as adults in a diverse society.

We are developing a knowledge-rich curriculum encompassing all areas of the curriculum, including the creative arts and technology, with literacy and numeracy central to our work. Our children love the whole school projects and charity events that we plan for, especially when they are involved in choosing them.

Our vision also centres around our motto ‘learning together, having fun’ and so working together with a strong support team, made up of staff, Governors, parents, the community and visiting friends of the school, ensures that learning is exciting, relevant and fun. With the support of funds from our annual charity event, The Viking Challenge, opportunities at our school are plentiful, helping us to create magical memories for our children, their families and our staff.

We are very proud of the caring, family-orientated, Christian ethos we share: We

Encourage Learning and Caring because Our school Matters to Everyone. As one of our pupils once said, "We may be small, but there's room for everyone."

Overview

Redmile_CofE_-_NG13_0GL_(33_of_154).jpg

Redmile CE Primary School is a small village primary school set in an idyllic rural location in the heart of the stunning Vale of Belvoir. The school is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is overlooked by the historic Belvoir Castle; it is located near Grantham, Newark, Nottingham and Melton Mowbray, making it popular with commuters to the big cities as the national rail links are excellent. It is also very close to excellent secondary schools, including post-11 grammar schools.

Redmile can cater for up to 105 pupils between the ages of 4 and 11. The original school opened in 1871 with permanent extensions to the school being added in 2009, 2010 and 2018 to allow the school to take in more children. There is also wrap-around care before and after school. It has strong links with their local community including the church and partnership schools; it is part of the Vale School Cluster which is overseen by an experienced Executive Head Teacher.

The school has continued to improve over the last 3 years, which has been reflected in the Good grade awarded to the school by Ofsted.

RISE MULTI-ACADEMY TRUST

Redmile CE Primary School IS PROUD TO BE PART OF THE RISE MULTI-ACADEMY TRUST.

Rise is a family of schools. We work with and for each other.

We currently comprise of 23 CofE and Community primary schools, Great strides have been made and we are proud of the fact that all our schools are now deemed to be’ Good’ in the eyes of Ofsted. We want, however, for that milestone to be a marker on our journey, rather than the destination itself. Our family of schools are all different shapes and sizes, serving rich and varied communities and that is one of the many things we love about our Trust.

Our vision and our values show how we place great importance on what we do and how we do it. Our values underpin our interactions with each other and strengthen our sense of family. Children are placed at the heart of everything we do. Our team of staff are skilled, hardworking and committed to developing all of your child, not just their academic ability. We recognise that success for every child will be different and we celebrate this.

We are developing and maturing as a Trust. We are ambitious. We are evolving into a Trust that is led by schools for schools. Our headteachers and talented subject leaders play an active role in Trust and school improvement. Our central team are committed to serving schools in a manner that enables them to be great schools, doing great things that enable every child in a Rise school to both ‘flourish and succeed’; and ensuring that our colleagues and communities thrive in a similar way.

Our family of schools are all different shapes and sizes, serving rich and varied communities and that is one of the many things we love about our Trust.
