HLTA or Senior TA Vacancies - 3 newly created posts available

Working 30 hours 30 minutes per week Monday to Friday. Term time only, Grade 13. Full or part time applications will be considered.

Selwood Academy is seeking to appoint a highly skilled, innovative and dynamic HLTA/Senior TA to support the school in its drive to enhance its support for young people in the recovery of their learning.

The successful candidate would be required to lead interventions with individuals and small groups of pupils in Years 5 - 8, working alongside colleagues to design, deliver and assess the outcomes of intervention work. You may also be required to cover whole lessons on occasion.

We require someone who:

• At least 1.5 years' experience in the classroom

• Good classroom and behaviour management

• Experience in delivering interventions

• A commitment to supporting and developing learning programmes for individuals and groups of pupils

• Can effectively lead the planning and delivery of small-group intervention sessions as and when appropriate

• Supports the school’s vision and values

• Displays a clear vision and passion in their role and can motivate those around them.

• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills.

• Has some experience in line management.
