The Mead Educational Trust is an energetic and dynamic family of 14 primary and secondary schools in and around Leicester. As a family of schools, we leverage our collective strengths in order to make a positive difference to the life chances of children and young people and to our wider community.  At the heart of all we do is a commitment to provide our pupils access to a world-class education, our schools with excellent school-to-school support, and our staff with high quality professional development.

We are looking to appoint 2 casual data analysts for 3 weeks work across the summer. The purpose of this role is to support the design and development of interactive Power BI dashboards for primary school data, enabling real-time analysis and enhanced decision-making across key performance and contextual indicators. The role will involve:

• Data Dashboard Development - Support the transformation of primary school data from static spreadsheets into dynamic, interactive dashboards using Power BI.

• Data Visualisation and Reporting - Design and implement clear, user-focused visualisations that reflect performance trends, pupil outcomes, and key school-level metrics in Reading, Writing, and Maths.

• Contextual Analysis Integration - Develop filtering and drill-down functionality to enable analysis based on contextual factors

• Collaborative Design and Iteration - Work closely with TMET’s central data team to co-design the structure, layout, and functionality of dashboards, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs.

• Quality Assurance and Consistency - Ensure consistency in data presentation across schools

Technical knowledge desired for this role:

  • Understand how to organise and link tables (like pupils, assessments, and attendance) so the dashboard shows the right information in the right way.
  • Know how to clean and prepare data, and create calculations and measures using Power BI
  • Design dashboards that are fast, clear, and allow users to filter and explore the data easily—while keeping the data accurate and secure.
