Actual salary – Over 5 years - £20,940.02 - £22,321.86
Hours: 33 / 39wks
Monday to Friday: 8.10am-3.10pm (30 mins unpaid lunch)
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled individual to join our thriving school community. We are seeking someone who is passionate about supporting our most vulnerable pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve both academic and personal success.
As a valued member of our supportive and experienced pastoral team, you will play a key role in promoting the well-being, attendance, and personal development of pupils. You will also have a supporting role in safeguarding across the school as a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), working closely with senior leaders to ensure the safety and welfare of all children.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children and young people whose vulnerabilities or attendance have impacted their education. You will have the skills to build positive relationships, provide targeted interventions, and deliver sessions focused on developing emotional resilience, life skills, confidence, and social interaction.
Are you somebody who;
• Embodies our school core character behaviours of compassion, resilience, respect and curiosity?
• Has experience working with children or young people in a pastoral, mentoring, or safeguarding capacity?
• Understands the challenges faced by pupils with social, emotional, or mental health needs?
• Is confident, empathetic, and able to communicate effectively with pupils, families, and professionals?
• Is willing (or already trained) to act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)?
• Can plan and deliver small-group or one-to-one sessions to support pupils’ personal and social?
• Work collaboratively within a team to make a positive different to children and their development?
