I believe Wymondham CE Primary School is very special. We have an amazing learning environment, inspirational teachers and support staff, and as a result children are engaged, enthusiastic and proud of their school. We are at the centre of a rural community with wonderful children and families. Visitors to our school notice how beautifully behaved, well-mannered and aspirational our children are.
Each child has the opportunity to participate in many things such as performing with The Vale Choir; representing our school in many different sports competitions; attending the Christmas carol service in Melton; embracing starring roles in stage productions, concerts, dances; having responsibility for school-wide initiatives through leadership roles, a variety of after school clubs and so much more!
Staff are committed to providing a caring and supportive learning environment, underpinned with challenge and high expectations, which nurtures each child as they achieve their full and unique potential.
We love to celebrate their successes and achievements as we all strive for excellence.
These are very special years for our children and families. We want the children’s time with us to provide some of the best memories ever.
Memories of warmth, care, love and respect.
Memories of laughter, friendship, fun and happiness.
Memories of new experiences, exciting opportunities and success.
Memories of ‘Achievement through Enjoyment and Excellence’.
Memories that will last a lifetime.
Head of School
Wymondham, St Peter’s CE Primary School is situated in the glorious village of Wymondham, in the heart of rural Leicestershire. The school is surrounded by fields and stunning views of the English countryside and is only a short drive away from the A1 and the market towns of Melton Mowbray and Oakham; national rail links are easily accessible-ideal for city commuters.
The school enjoys close links with St Peter’s Church and the local community, including the pre-school adjacent to the school, as well as our partnership primary schools; it is part of the Vale School Cluster which is overseen by an experienced Executive Head Teacher. Wymondham is a friendly, welcoming school that can cater for up to 105 pupils aged 4 to 11. The school has continued to improve over the last 3 years, which has been reflected in the Good grade awarded to the school by Ofsted in 2019. Pupils at Wymondham continuously meet the expected standards set for them. The vast majority of pupils meet the expected standard in reading, writing and maths, and our end of year data is often significantly above both local authority and national averages.
The school provides each pupil with a diverse education within a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning.
Christian and British values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment, which prepares our pupils for the future as confident, happy citizens.
Rise is a family of schools. We work with and for each other.
We currently comprise of 23 CofE and Community primary schools, Great strides have been made and we are proud of the fact that all our schools are now deemed to be’ Good’ in the eyes of Ofsted. We want, however, for that milestone to be a marker on our journey, rather than the destination itself. Our family of schools are all different shapes and sizes, serving rich and varied communities and that is one of the many things we love about our Trust.
Our vision and our values show how we place great importance on what we do and how we do it. Our values underpin our interactions with each other and strengthen our sense of family. Children are placed at the heart of everything we do. Our team of staff are skilled, hardworking and committed to developing all of your child, not just their academic ability. We recognise that success for every child will be different and we celebrate this.
We are developing and maturing as a Trust. We are ambitious. We are evolving into a Trust that is led by schools for schools. Our headteachers and talented subject leaders play an active role in Trust and school improvement. Our central team are committed to serving schools in a manner that enables them to be great schools, doing great things that enable every child in a Rise school to both ‘flourish and succeed’; and ensuring that our colleagues and communities thrive in a similar way.
Our family of schools are all different shapes and sizes, serving rich and varied communities and that is one of the many things we love about our Trust.
