“The job for every headteacher is to make their school the best in Wales, I know not every school can be the best, but we will be,” said Dr Rhodri Thomas, headteacher at Ysgol Penweddig in Aberystwyth.

Rhodri was inspired to be a teacher after seeing the difference an individual can make in the lives of young people.

He has always loved the classroom and when he gets the opportunity to cover a lesson, he really looks forward to it.

Rhodri has taught in a mixture of bilingual and Welsh-medium schools.
