Many improvements have been made to the provision in recent years, including installing interactive white boards in all classrooms, the use of a portable set of rechargeable mini note book computers and Ipod touch Apple technology in the form of iPods or iPads within every classroom. There is a spacious hall, which is used for Physical Education, Drama and a wide range of community activities, whilst the I.T. areas allow for research and publishing.

The outdoor provision is an outstanding feature of our school where extensive use is made of the meadow, woodland, pond, playgrounds, play equipment, sports field, basketball court and trim trail. We are extremely privileged to have access to a purpose-built outdoor classroom and nature trails.

Our school provides a safe, secure environment where pupils encounter opportunity for success in learning and living. Each pupil is valued as an individual regardless of race, religion, gender or disability, and encouraged to make a positive contribution to the school community. At Cwmlai
pupils are encouraged to make the most of their talents, to develop their personality and grow both morally and spiritually.

The education pupils receive serves to foster discipline and high personal standards achieved in a positive, caring atmosphere, which permeates everything they encounter in our school. Pupils are also encouraged to develop self-esteem and self-confidence through a range of extra curricular activities.
