Johnston C.P. School serves the growing community of Johnston - a large village serving a rural area, situated midway between two of Pembrokeshire’s major towns, Haverfordwest and Milford Haven. The school moved into a £6.4 million 21st century school on January 2nd 2017. The school is situated within secure grounds and includes a sports pitch and Multi Utility Games Area. There are extensive grounds beyond the school fence ready for further development. The new school includes a Learning Resource Centre for 24 ASC pupils. This unit is at the heart of the school. The LRC takes pupils from all over Pembrokeshire.

The school caters for the children of Johnston and the locality between the ages of 3 and 11. Presently there are approximately 261 pupils at the school. The school has a Foundation Phase Unit, accepting children, on a part time basis, as young as 3 years old. We are an English medium primary school catering for children, and are committed to providing the highest standard of education and pastoral care to our children. They deserve the very best start in life and we aim to ensure that they are supported and nurtured from the moment that they enter the school.

We make every effort to teach children to be polite, friendly and helpful. We encourage children to be fit, strong and healthy with an enthusiasm for sport, music, the outdoors and for achieving their potential whatever that may be. We take great pride in providing exciting and varied learning experiences.
