About Us

St Alban's Catholic Primary School serves the Catholic and Christian communities in the Tremorfa and Splott areas of south-east Cardiff. Geographically, the school is situated in an area of high social deprivation, with nearly half of children entitled to free school meals. There is a growing number of children for whom English is their second language and around a quarter of the children are registered as having an additional learning need. St Alban's is a friendly environment and a place where the children are eager to learn and genuinely care about 'their' school.

Mission Statement

"In our school every day, we will learn, love and pray, following the footsteps of Jesus"

The school aims to achieve this mission through co-operation with parents, priests and staff to deepen the knowledge and spiritual development of the children in accordance with the church; to provide a rich curriculum which meets the needs of all pupils; to raise achievement in numeracy and literacy, providing high standards of teaching and learning; to promote strong links between home, school and parish; and to provide a happy environment which is secure and stimulating so that every child achieves his or her full potential.
