Headteacher's Welcome

We warmly welcome you to our Academy and hope our Career Page gives you a window into our busy school community.

St Peter & St Paul's is a thriving primary school with a large dedicated team of staff and Governors working with parents to provide children with a happy, stimulating, learning environment where each child feels valued respected and confident to accept all kinds of challenges.

At the last Ofsted inspection we were pleased to be recognised as a GOOD school and are proud of the achievements of our children.

We are very privileged to have close links with St Peter & St Paul’s Church and the Leicester Diocesan Board of Education. Our religious status and ethos is a very important part of school life and we are pleased to welcome people from all faiths and cultures.

We endeavour to foster in all pupils a strong sense of respect, honesty, perseverance and cooperation and are also fully committed to raising standards and developing children’s academic skills. We provide a creative curriculum and offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities to help develop their interests and enjoyment of music, art and sport. In order to enhance pupils opportunities and experiences we aim to provide the very best facilities and resources to support the teaching and learning from our Early Years Foundation Stage class to Year 6.

We are always happy to show visitors around school to see it in action and to answer questions. If you would like to visit us and see for yourself some of the exciting learning opportunities on offer, the enthusiasm of our children and commitment of our staff team please contact us at your earliest convenience.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Claire Mulhern

Our School

Our School is part of the Diocese of Leicester Academy Trust (DLAT) and has developed strong links with the Leicester Diocesan Board of Education.

There are over 370 children on roll, aged 4-11 years, organised into single age classes. The school enjoys excellent facilities, including two halls, a Studio, a well-equipped ICT Suite, a large playing field and Breakfast and After School clubs.

The school was last inspected in November 2017. We were pleased that the hard work of Governors, school leaders, teachers, support staff and pupils was recognised by the inspectors who found that the school has continued to make significant progress since the last inspection, resulting in us once again being graded a GOOD school.

As a Church Academy we are also inspected by the Diocesan Board of Education. These inspectins are known as SIAMs (Statutory Inspections of Angican and Methodist Schools). The inspectors visit schools and report on Collective Worship, Religious Education and the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development of pupils. Our last SIAMs inspection was in September 2016 when we were deligted to be graded as OUTSTANDING, a result of our strong ethos, Christian values and excellent teamwork from the whole school community.
