West Wimbledon Primary School is a community primary school with nursery for children aged 3-11. We are one form entry for children from Reception through to Year 3, currently. Our Year 4, 5 and 6 have two forms. We also have a base for children with autism and social communication needs.

Our kind, nurturing and inclusive approach and our commitment to delivering an excellent curriculum ensures every child is able to reach his or her full potential. We strive to equip all our pupils with the confidence, resilience and knowledge they need to enjoy their learning now and in the future.

We are a wonderfully diverse community and our rich and varied curriculum is designed to ensure every pupil is able to identify with their learning and achieve.

Our vision is to enable all our pupils to reach their academic potential and to equip them with the knowledge and understanding which empowers them to become ambitious, happy and resilient learners. We strive to develop our pupils into compassionate and confident global citizens who celebrate differences and are empathetic and caring towards each other.

We are a one-form entry, small community Primary school with a Nursery and a base for children with autism and communication needs and we believe in each and every child who comes through our door. We value every child and ensure they are able to learn and grow in an environment where they feel safe. We promise to respect each child’s individuality and we ensure that every child receives the positive encouragement and guidance essential to build self-esteem and develop independence. We believe every child can reach their potential, believe in themselves and follow their dreams.

At West Wimbledon Primary School, we enable all pupils to achieve, succeed and excel. We foster an environment where children not only achieve academically but are also encouraged to celebrate and recognise developments and successes in all areas of their personal growth. We nurture and help develop the children’s confidence and resilience to encourage them to become self-motivated individuals who are eager to learn and reach their goals. We strive to deliver a Curriculum which represents our diverse community and allows all our children to identify and engage with. Our goal is to instil a love and thirst for learning and to promote curiosity and interest now and in the future.

EMPOWER

We want all children to feel empowered and to use the knowledge they learn to make themselves heard. We want to empower our pupils to know that they can make a difference and with hard work and perseverance can achieve anything they put their minds to. We help all children to understand how they feel about themselves, their choices and their future at school and beyond. We are committed to empower our children to become the best they can be. We want all our children to feel confident and proud of themselves when they leave West Wimbledon Primary School and to feel excited and empowered to engage in the next stage of their learning.
