Salary: Support Staff Spine Point 19-21 (depending on experience)
£20,281 to £21,070 full time equivalent, £16,089 to £16,715 actual.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our college staff community in the new role of Student Liaison Officer. Following a highly successful enrolment period the college is seeking to appoint a passionate and engaging individual to actively liaise with students and site users to provide help and assistance whilst supporting us to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with our student community when they are not accessing timetabled classes to ensure that they are using the time effectively to support their studies whilst also responding to the needs of students in respect of their individual care and wellbeing needs.
This will include deploying restorative approaches in helping to address and manage non-compliance with college rules and expectations, including behaviour, as well as a supervisory and response function across the college campus, ensuring we provide and maintain a safe environment for all.
The college is looking for individuals who are committed to holistic approaches to support students' academic and personal development. The successful candidate will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able work under pressure, be a team member but is also confident working independently with our students, staff and other site users.
The post will commence as soon as a possible once all safer recruitment checks are appropriate completed. All successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
