Welcome

Welcome to Ashbury Primary School, a place where we are united in a love for learning.

I have had the pleasure of being the Headteacher at this small village school, since January 2018 and it’s a continuing privilege to see our children challenged and supported to be the best they can be.

I have continued my professional development, studying to be a National Leader in Social, Emotional, Mental Health & Wellbeing.

As a Church of England Primary School, everything we do is guided through our vision: united in a love for learning we believe we will all grow and succeed together. Our core Christian Values of Compassion, Perseverance and Responsibility help us to be the best version of ourselves. We recognise that each child is an individual and celebrate all that our pupils achieve; The whole school community embrace mutual respect and care for one another. We are committed to instilling in our children a lifelong love of learning that will equip them to succeed in an ever changing modern world.

Working in collaboration and partnership with our parents and local community is important to us and the key to our success. The children are fully supported in their learning journey by dedicated Staff, Governors, Parents & Clergy; creating an environment where every child feels loved, happy, safe and able to achieve their very best.

I would love to share the experiences and opportunities we offer. You are more than welcome to visit to find out what a special school Ashbury CE Primary School truly is.

Our School

Ashbury with Compton Beauchamp CE (A) is a small village school with around 80 pupils in the heart of Ashbury, a rural village that nestles on the edge of the Downs in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We are very proud of all that goes on here and our motto, “United in a love for learning, we will grow and succeed together" which was created in partnership with our governors, parents and pupils.

"Leaders, governors, staff and parents and carers have a clear determination to make sure that all pupils achieve. Staff have high expectations both academically and socially for all pupils." - OFSTED December 2019

"Ashbury is a nurturing school, and this encourages pupils to successfully develop their independence."  - OFSTED December 2019

We are a caring school with a Christian ethos in which every child and adult is respected, encouraged and assisted towards their full potential in every sphere of their lives. The children are fully supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents.
