Henllys Church in Wales Primary School was opened in September 1991.

It is an Anglican Voluntary Aided School, one of only six that serves the Diocese of Monmouth. It is a beautifully designed and well equipped school, with spacious play areas and games field. 

As a church school, we take pride in our association with churches within the Ministry Area of Cwmbran and Pontnewydd. The clergy are regular visitors to the school and take an active interest in the fostering of good relationships between school, home and church.  

The school also receives welcome visits from representatives of the Diocese of Monmouth. 

The school celebrates the major Christian festivals and there will be an opportunity for you to join us at many of these celebrations, and also to join us on a half termly basis for a morning Eucharist.
