The problem: summer hiring, at scale
Activate Learning, one of the UK’s largest and most renowned FE college groups, faced a significant and stark hiring challenge – needing to recruit over 180 high-quality staff, across multiple campuses, across the summer holidays in time for the new term.
Needing more than just generic volume, they came to Eteach Media looking for bespoke support with a wide variety of hard-to-fill and specialist vocational lecturin roles. Activate Learning needed a precisely-targeted recruitment marketing campaign that would have a measured impact, to engage and attract best-fit education candidates through a variety of channels and touchpoints.

Concurrent touchpoints across our site, email, Meta advertising and more reinforced a cohesive and strong employer brand as well as keeping consistent with Activate Learning's visual identity.
The campaign included:
- Targeted email marketing to our database of 2.7m+ education professionals, using both subject and role targeting as well as more segmented geolocation targeting to hone in on candidates which were especially close to their Berkshire and Surrey campuses, tailoring the messaging
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising for both brand awareness and specific job roles, designed to appeal to younger, digitally-savvy Gen Z professionals which were a key part of their target audience
- Display banners on the high-traffic Eteach.com homepage, drawing on periods of peak site activity to boost their brand visibility even further
- Visual messaging and imagery created in line with Activate Learning's strong employer brand and visual identity, reinforcing a consistent, credible message that resonates with educators
