The school is small, friendly and vibrant, welcoming children and their families from a rich and diverse multi cultural community.

The Staff are caring, experienced and dedicated to providing a stimulating and challenging curriculum in which children of all abilities can flourish. This is reflected in the consistently high levels of achievement gained by the school.

The school has been developing the outside learning environment to make King Richard an exciting place for the children to play, explore and learn.

About Us

King Richard III Infant School is a modern, multicultural inner city school built in 1974 based within the thriving and popular West End area of Leicester. It is a popular school that attracts children from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and where more than 40 different languages are spoken.

We pay attention to the individuals within our school to ensure that all our children, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, attainment or background are encouraged to reach their full potential.

The School was awarded The School Achievement Award in 2003 and Investor in People status in 2005.We
have achieved Active mark annually.

The School has been also been recognized as a Healthy School by DfE.

In 2005 the School joined an intiative in conjunction with Creative Partnerships which provides school children across England with the opportunity to develop creativity in learning and to take part in cultural activities of the highest quality.

Our school aims to be an inclusive school where equality of opportunity is a reality for all our children.

We pay attention to the different groups within our school to ensure that all our children regardless of age gender; ethnicity attainment or background are encouraged to reach their full potential.
