Headteacher’s Welcome

Headteacher: Carlo Cuomo

All-Saints-Catholic-Academy-88.jpg

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the wonderfully vibrant learning community of All Saints’ Catholic Voluntary Academy, Mansfield.

All Saints’, is an excellent school and as the headteacher, I am extremely proud of its outstanding reputation serving the needs of many children living in Mansfield itself and in the counties of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. All Saints’ is consistently ranked as one of the highest performing comprehensive schools in Mansfield and we continue to strive for excellence academically, spiritually and pastorally.

Our mission is purely and simply ‘to serve’. We encourage all members of the All Saints’ community to follow Jesus’ message to ensure that each student is safe, happy and successful. We work tirelessly to provide an excellent educational experience for all students, which is underpinned by our mission statement: ‘Through Catholic values and principles, every person at All Saints’ Academy will achieve their full potential: spiritually, academically, socially, morally and physically’.

Our religious identity places an enormous emphasis on the relationship between home, school and parish, with the children and my colleagues at the centre, as we are all created in the image of God. The staff at All Saints’ are an incredibly dedicated team of professionals whose unrelenting sense of commitment places the needs of every child at the forefront of all decisions made. If a given policy, practice or initiative does not have a positive impact on the educational experience of a child, then it is never used or endorsed.

The development of the ‘whole’ child is of paramount importance and whilst the academic experience of all children is vitally important, we are also acutely aware of the need to prepare young hearts and minds for an ever changing, technologically driven society. The All Saints’ way is a ‘code’, a key reminder of the skills, qualities and characteristics required to be successful in school, at home and in the future work place.

It is almost impossible to describe in a few words, the welcoming and energising atmosphere which prevails in all areas of the school whether it is in the classroom, corridor or playing fields which is why we welcome visits to the school so that you can experience at first hand this truly special place!

With my very best wishes,

Carlo Cuomo
