Promoting a love of learning!

We are a large, busy, exciting and very friendly school, with lots going on. Through our website, we hope to give you an insight into our school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents, pupils and other interested visitors.

Our children are very important to us and we are a very special school that likes to celebrate success – at every level. The life of the school is driven by enthusiasm and a desire to achieve. We bring learning alive, making it exciting and stimulating. We also give our children a thirst for learning that we hope continues with them throughout their future school experiences and adult lives.

An essential ingredient for this to happen is teamwork. We view education as a joint venture, involving everyone – children, parents, staff, Governors and the wider community. We would like to be able to depend on your co-operation and support in this partnership, hoping that together we can provide the best education for every child.

We are proud to be an inclusive primary school, bringing together children from a range of economic, social and ethnic backgrounds; creating an exciting and diverse learning community.

The standard of teaching is high throughout school, ensuring that children make good progress with their learning. This is due to our dedicated Teaching Team and Support Staff who ensure that the children are safe, happy and want to learn.

We were judged a ‘Good’ school in all areas of school improvement at our last Ofsted inspection in March 2017. Please read our full report from Ofsted on our website.

Our Vision At Beeston Primary we promote a love of learning within a safe and happy school, in which every person matters. The school is a community where equality of opportunity for all is at the centre of everything we do. We recognise the uniqueness of each child and adult associated with the school and wish for them to develop confidence, independence and high attainment as lifelong learners.

We work in partnership with parents, governors and our wider community; we pride ourselves on being a warm, welcoming and caring school with high expectations of achievement and behaviour.

The context of our school

Beeston Primary School is a large urban Primary School on the edge of the inner city, which enjoys a good reputation in the local community. The school is tackling an increasing roll with significant new capacity and upgrades to existing buildings.

The newly restructured and extended Senior Leadership Team, have made a significant difference through curriculum innovation, leading effective learning and teaching and the promotion of equality, community cohesion and positive outcomes for all pupils. The school has focussed on the ECM Agenda and the care guidance and support offered by the school is exemplary.
