Welcome

We are a small Church of England Primary School which caters for children aged 4 to 11 in the heart of the village of Belton in North West Leicestershire with strong links to the church, village and community. Belton C of E Primary School was founded in 1843 and the present school was built in 1976. It is located in spacious attractive grounds which offer opportunities for creative outdoor play and interaction with nature at first hand. We value the individual child and our vision is Achieving the Best Together preparing our school community for fullness of life being aware that God wants us to have fullness of life. I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness. John 10 v 10

‘Belton Church of England Primary is a good school. Pupils' behaviour and personal development remains a strength of the school. Pupils are polite, well mannered and have a lovely sense of fun. The cohesive team provides a well rounded education in a nurturing environment. The curriculum has been developed thoughtfully. It is broad and balanced and provides engaging topics and places a high emphasis on pupils' spiritual, moral, cultural and social development.'

Headteacher's Message

Belton Church of England Primary School is a happy place to be for all, children and staff; where all children are welcomed and included and are able to experience a well-rounded education, developing their potential - spiritual, moral, educational, physical and social. It is a place where the ethos is clear that God wants us all to have fullness of life. It is best summed up by a parent who said ‘this school is a church school where children can grow and achieve.’

Our vision for the school is:

Achieving the best together. By preparing all in our school community for fullness of life, reaching their potential, physically, mentally, and emotionally through an appreciation of their spiritual lives inspired by the values of Jesus Christ. John 10 v10

Our mission is to create an enabling exciting environment all our learners will flourish and be the best they can be and become responsible, confident individuals who are equipped for the future. We are committed to developing the full potential of all our school community by having high expectations and by creating a culture of positive endeavour underpinned by Christian values so that all can achieve. This mission is deeply rooted in our Christian values which underpin the ethos of our school. We aim to promote and model these values in what we do; these are hope, peace, friendship, love, forgiveness and trust. We work in partnership with each other, staff, pupils, parents and families, governors and the community to achieve the best. We strive to give our pupils a firm foundation in primary education and equip them with skills they will be able to use throughout their lives.

We are very proud of our school but are always keen to improve to ensure that we can offer the best education to our pupils.
