We are all extremely proud of Broomhill Infant School and of the achievements of our wonderful children.

We have a highly dedicated team of staff who are committed to providing high quality education to our children. As a result, our children make fantastic progress and, by the time they leave us in Year 2, the vast majority are working in line or above national average in reading, writing and mathematics.

We place high value on providing a curriculum which is fun and led by child’s interests. Our topics enable children to develop their understanding through meaningful contexts. We provide experiential learning opportunities termly, involving visitors coming in to school, special events, Tinkering Tuesdays and theme days as well as lots of trips out of school.

We understand the importance of ensuring children feel valued and happy, and have a strong and well developed approach to supporting emotional development and well being. 

Our aim is to work in partnership with families to recognise each child’s individual talents and enable every child to have memorable life-long learning experiences. We continually strive to provide learning opportunities of the highest quality. We believe our setting is very special, we have wonderful families, dedicated and experienced staff and as a result children are happy, engaged, enthusiastic and proud. 

Our school is sited in the heart of the Broomhill Community. The school is fortunate to have grounds which include an orchard and lots of interesting spaces where children are able to work in a safe environment. We provide a supportive, inclusive and caring environment that is conducive to active learning. We inspire our children to be excited by learning and provide creative learning opportunities that build on the children’s experiences and interests. Inside the School and Children’s Centre, learning environments are organised to provide children with appropriate resources that they can access independently. Displays of children’s work are used to extend their learning, stimulate their imagination and celebrate their achievements.
