School Vision

Our school vision is driven by three core strategic priorities. These priorities guide everything we do, ensuring that our efforts remain focused on shaping greater futures for our students and school community.

Our STEPs

Continuing Professional Learning and Development

Supporting our team to continue to improve in their role is a critical belief at Kingshill. Nobody is ever the finished article and we are all given time to reflect on areas for development and find ways to be even more effective. Staff are encouraged to have an Inquiring Mind and this is the name of our CPLD programme. All members of our staff team produce their own 60 Day Plans which address an area for improvement and identify the training support we may need to achieve this change.

Teaching staff undertake a CPLD programme focused on our school developmental priorities and delivered through INSET, twilight sessions and whole school teaching team, faculty and year team meetings. It is underpinned by educational research which is proven to work in successful schools.

On top of this, ECTs will be assigned an experienced mentor, normally from their subject or faculty, to support them through the two year programme. We use Balcarras Training School as our Approved Body and through them you will have access to the University College London training materials.

Professional support staff receive CPLD through internal training delivered by other staff members, or external providers such as the National College. We support staff to achieve qualifications that will enhance their ability to do their role effectively.
