About us
Coryton Primary School is a warm and happy place where we care about every child and their families as part of our wider school community. We want our children to receive an excellent education but also to feel happy, safe and valued.
Coryton Primary is the partner school of our neighbour, Tongwynlais Primary School https://tongwynlais-primary-school.secure-primarysite.net/ and together the schools form the Pear Tree Federation. The name comes from the historic Pear Tree farm that stood exactly midway between the two schools - and would now be right in the middle of junction 32 between the A470 and the M4 - if it was still standing. The two schools legally federated in March 2018 having worked in collaboration for about 18 months prior to that.
I am the federation headteacher and I share my time overseeing both schools. In Coryton the deputy head is Mr James and the assistant head is Mr Barker; they are both available at school every day for any day-to day queries you might have.
