Together Towards Tomorrow

Cyfarthfa Park Primary School came into existence in September 2014 following the amalgamation of Brecon Road Infant School and Cyfarthfa Junior School. The school is currently on two sites, the Foundation Phase (Infant) department at the Norman Terrace site and the junior department at the Cyfarthfa Park site. We are a school of 400+ pupils with a range of high quality resources to support teaching and learning at the school. Our infant site has 8 classrooms, a hall, library, nurture room and an enclosed playground. Our junior site also has 8 classrooms, a hall, library, nurture room, meeting rooms and an enclosed playground.

The Governing Body ensure the school is well resourced and are committed to the on-going development of staff in order to encourage staff to be the best they can be and to ensure our children receive high quality education.

There are approximately 50 teaching and non-teaching staff at the school, some of which work on both sites. Our team of staff collaborate effectively to provide high quality learning experiences for our children.

At Cyfarthfa Park Primary School we aim, not only to give the best education to our children but to work in partnership with parents, governors and the community in order that they develop to their full potential. We have a dedicated team of staff who plan the curriculum and organise their classrooms in such a way that children are well motivated and enjoy being at school. By creating a caring environment with the emphasis on co-operation wellbeing and mutual respect we expect a high standard of social behaviour and understanding from the children. Working in partnership with our stakeholders, we aim to make the school a centre of excellence for the community and its children. Together we will achieve excellence by learning, caring and sharing. We will work together towards tomorrow!
