The Headteacher, Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Governors have created a ‘vision’ for our school - our hopes and aims for the future. Of course we want children to leave our school able to read, write and understand maths - but there is far more to it than that. We started with the ‘core values’ which sum up what we want to see in action, every day, in our school, and finished up with our ‘vision statement’.
Eldene School: Working together to develop a lifelong love of learning, and sow the seeds of success.
Care and Respect - This must be the basis of all our relationships - between adults, between children, and between adults and children. We all need to look out for each other and respect each other’s differences.
Teamwork - Adults in school work very much as a team, and children need to learn how to work well with others - but most importantly, school and parents need to work together for the sake of each child.
Aspiration - Aim high! All our children should be aiming to be the best they can possibly be, and think about their ambitions for their future lives - and so should all our employees.
Opportunity - These few years at primary school lay the educational foundations for the rest of the children’s lives. Here is where they learn how to learn, and meet lots of different experiences. We mustn’t let this precious time be wasted.
Inclusiveness - We value all our children, whatever their race, background or level of ability, and do our very best for them.
Discovery and Creativity - We want the ‘wow factor’! Children naturally love learning - there’s nothing like the look on a child’s face when they discover or create something for the first time. We don’t want that magic to be lost.
