Overview

From Nursery to Year 6 and beyond...

Ellingham is a warm and welcoming school with a teaching team who are ambitious for all of our children in their education and well-being. Through continual reflection on our practice and investment in training and the latest research, we provide a high quality education and have high aspirations for all children and will support them to achieve their absolute best.

Aspirations for the children extend beyond results in reading, writing and maths. As well as a school curriculum that offers a broad and exciting balance of the creative, scientific and sporting subjects, we offer experiences that delight and connect children to the opportunities that life offers.

Applications are welcome from teachers who have a passion for making a difference in children's learning, progress and social development who have high standards and expectations of themselves and the children.

About Us

Mrs Keogh joined as the headteacher of Ellingham Primary School in September 2019 to instigate a series of school improvement initiatives to ensure that children's experience of education at Ellingham school is one that they, their families and teachers would be proud of. In it's simplest form this means getting the teaching and learning right so that every child achieves their true potential and providing positive memorable experiences of primary school life that they carry into the future.

Despite the interruptions and disruptions of lockdowns, we were delighted when Ofsted visited in October 2021 they rated the school ‘Good’ in all areas.
