We are an open and welcoming school set within a strong local community. Our school caters for children from the ages of four to eleven. We have three mixed age classes (Reception and Key Stage 1, Year 3 and 4, Year 5 and 6) housed in large, well-resourced classrooms. We provide a high-quality learning experience for children, enabling them to access a range of academic, sporting and arts related opportunities. We offer daily breakfast club and after school activities to provide yet more fun opportunities and support for working families.

At Hemington Primary, we have a committed team of staff and a dedicated governing body who create a happy, welcoming and secure environment. Our children love coming to school and make the most of the opportunities provided to them. We aim to engage all members of the school community in learning, in school life and to celebrate our successes together! Hemington Primary School is a small village school serving, as it has done since 1878, the beautiful Leicestershire villages of Hemington and Lockington. We have an excellent reputation and welcome children from the two villages, Castle Donington and the surrounding area.

As the main amenities for the villages are the Church and Village Hall in Lockington and the Public House and the School in Hemington, the school has a particularly important role within the community. We pride ourselves on the nurturing environment we provide for the children, dedicated staff and governing body and strong parental support.
