The Aims of Our School
• to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where all children are helped and encouraged to develop intellectually, physically and emotionally as far as they are able, taking account of children’s individual needs and abilities.
• to teach a broad and balanced curriculum which encompasses the National Curriculum but also helps children to develop spiritually, morally, socially and culturally so they may become self-confident, responsible, tolerant citizens prepared for life in a rapidly changing technological and multi-cultural society.
• to provide a rich and varied extra-curricular programme of activities which provides opportunities for all children to develop their talents and interests, to co-operate and to sometimes compete against others.
• to be consistent in having the highest expectations of both children and staff and to demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning.
• to encourage respect and care for everything and the people within school, the community and the world around us .
• to demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities for all.
• to develop a positive partnership with all our parents and carers for the benefit of the children.
