Our Hovingham values are: respect, hope, tolerance, peace, equality, friendship, wisdom, creativity, perseverance, trust and responsibility.
Our values are promoted through PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education) and SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Education).
We value and create time for SMSC across the school day, with focused assemblies celebrating and reflecting on national, global and local topics, festivals and celebrations as well as through ‘Golden time’ every day in individual classes and year groups.
The different elements of PSHCE are taught across the curriculum and as a discrete subject.
Our Culture
We actively promote a culture of mutual respect and tolerance, democracy, the rule of law, and freedom. British values permeate throughout our school curriculum and support the development of the whole child.
Team Hovingham
Every member of staff makes a contribution to making Hovingham Primary School the best that it can be - whether they are full time or part time, in or out of the classroom, in teaching or supporting roles. Together we are Team Hovingham.
