I am privileged to lead Kingsley Academy as Principal, and extremely proud of the phenomenal achievements that we have secured over the past 4 years. Our school is a warm welcoming place, which is characterised by excellent teaching, high levels of support and exceptional relationships between staff and students. For the last two years, our school has demonstrated the impact of great teaching by securing outcomes in exams that are above the national average. Students at Kingsley make more progress from the beginning of Year 7 to the end of Year 11, than their peers with students securing outcomes that are close to half a grade higher than others with the same starting point. Our outcomes at GCSE and A-Level have continued to improve and this year despite the national picture of results returning to 2019 measures we have continued to improve. Our improvement in academic outcomes for all students is testament to the hard work and dedication of our truly remarkable staff body who go above and beyond.
Our students are our absolute strength. They are overwhelmingly polite, respectful and hard-working. At Kingsley Academy, we are big believers in instilling values of respect, hard work and kindness in our students. We expect our students to work hard and behave well both inside and outside the classroom. This is evident in our students' attitude towards learning, their respectful and polite manner towards each other, and in their interactions in the local community. This year we have launched a new initiative with students where we ask them to be kind, courageous and curious. I have no doubt, students that follow all three of these values will go on to be successful I have no doubt.
Kingsley Academy is now a well performing school of choice. We are full in every year group with a substantial waiting list of students who wish to join our academy. My ambition is to now lead the school to sustainable excellence and be the top performing school in the country. This ambition will mean that every student can and will have everything they need to lead a successful and fulfilling life.
