"At Linden, we aim to create memorable learning experiences that will make a positive contribution to the life of our community."
Linden Primary School is a large, multicultural primary school serving the Evington Area of the city of Leicester. We currently have approximately 469 pupils on role, aged from 3+ to 11 years. This includes 52 children who have part-time places in the Foundation Stage 1 class - Nursery.
The school was built in 1953 and is set in attractive, spacious grounds. There are two large halls where we do P.E., have assemblies and hold social functions. We also have two dining halls that allow our pupils to eat comfortably. There is an ICT suite, a mini ICT suite, a library and a kiln room.
We have two good-sized hard-surfaced playgrounds for children, which are divided into different play areas, and for which we provide a variety of games equipment. The Foundation 1 and 2 classes have a separate, fenced, outside play area. The playing fields are also available for sporting activities as well as at break times. There is a Wild Garden, a Sensory Garden and a copse which are used for outdoor learning, our Science Curriculum and Environmental Studies. in 2010, we planted 35 more trees to the 60 tress already planted as part of our "Linden Forest".
