Overview

Welcome to Malden Manor, where our aim is to provide an educational experience of the highest quality for all the children in our care. By creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, we seek to capture pupils’ interest, extend their knowledge and raise their aspirations. Our teaching and learning is designed to bring subjects to life, both in the classroom and through a variety of inspiring experiences in the wider community. In line with our objective of ‘creating successful learners’, we encourage children to take an active role in their education, developing the skills they need for independent learning. We also believe that parental involvement is vital for children to achieve their best.

Malden Manor is a vibrant and welcoming community in which we strive for the highest standards of attainment – whether academic, artistic or sporting. We find and nurture hidden talents, celebrating the strengths of every child. Our expectations in terms of both learning and behaviour are high and the children respond with delightful enthusiasm, politeness and consideration for others. Our broad curriculum and rich programme of extra-curricular activities – including the popular breakfast, after-school and holiday clubs – provide a well-rounded education, supported by excellent pastoral care. Together with my team of  dedicated staff and governors, I invite you to visit the school to see for yourself the fantastic opportunities it could offer you.

About Us

We give our students the richest possible educational experience, and embrace every opportunity to enhance their learning in imaginative ways – both in the classroom and beyond. We encourage the children to draw on their diverse cultural experiences to develop their understanding of a variety of subjects, including geography and history.

This learning is extended through valuable links with schools in Jamaica, Korea, Paris and Wales that help to make international issues real and relevant to our pupils. The children’s horizons are widened through speaker visits and collaborative projects with primary and secondary schools, Kingston University, public sector agencies and commercial organisations. In addition, pupils learn a great deal – and have immense fun – by participating in community visits, day trips and residential stays. Some pupils take on the responsibility of representing their peers on the School Council, while all children have the chance to contribute to the development of the school through our suggestion box.

Living in Kingston

One of London’s liveliest boroughs. Life revolves around the Thames, with the buzzing market town of Kingston being the main attraction. Kingston High Street runs parallel to the Thames so it many of its favourite restaurants are found situated along the banks of the riverside.

With the popular Kingston University based here there is an abundance of bars and clubs to entertain the vibrant student population and younger residence.

Kingston upon Thames is one of the greener areas of the capital with two royal parks in neighbouring Richmond upon Thames. Local parks hold facilities to cater for all those who enjoy the great outdoors, such as Canbury Gardens which is home to the Kingston Rowing Club boathouse and is in turn a great spot for fishing.

Only half an hour from central London it has excellent train links. Situated near to the A3 and M25 it is also easily accessible by car. The river bus as an excellent alternative to get into Canary Wharf and London Bridge.
