About Us

The school is a light and airy building comprising 12 class bases, 4 group teaching rooms, a music room, 4 additional study/work areas and a well-stocked, open-plan library area. All year groups benefit from having Assistant Teachers for English and maths. The curriculum is planned by year group teams who meet weekly to plan and evaluate pupils’ work. New Haw is a popular, over-subscribed, friendly school with outstanding SATS and Value Added results. The school was inspected by Ofsted in April 2009 and was graded ‘Outstanding’ in all areas.

In addition, the school also holds Investors in People, Artsmark Gold, Eco School Bronze and the Healthy Schools Award.
