About Us

We are part of Emmaus Catholic Multi Academy Company who are a family of schools united in Christ and working as one, to provide the very best Catholic education, faith formation and personal growth, rooted in Gospel values.

Today, there are 10 schools in our family, one secondary, nine primary schools, including a Teaching School, spanning the Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell and Worcestershire Local Authorities. We have over 3000 children, over 400 staff and over 100 Directors and Local Governors.

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Primary School is situated in Birmingham Local Authority and was originally built in 1967 to serve the parish children of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Quinton.

Since this time it has been developed and extended as a well maintained and calm learning environment, with much recent refurbishment making the school an even more welcoming place to learn and work. The school was judged "Outstanding" in the 2016 RE inspection.

There are extensive grounds and outdoor facilities to enhance the outdoor and sporting opportunities available. The school has an excellent reputation and enjoys a strong partnership with the parish community.

We are a happy, thriving and well respected school welcoming 210 children from Reception to Year 6. We do not have a Nursery facility but there is a before and after school club called 'Early Birds and Evening Owls'.

Our school mission prayer is used daily.

We welcome everyone into our community to live, love and learn together in the light and example of Jesus Christ.

We are an inclusive Catholic community that celebrates both diversity and the uniqueness of the individual. We work hard to ensure the entire community is able to grow and learn together.

Aims

Our school, which looks to Christ for the basis of its existence, aims to show concern for all connected with the school. We see ourselves as vital to the life and worship of the parish.

Our school will be distinguished by the quality of care, support and respect shown between its members.

Our school aims to make worship in all forms central to the life of the school and aims to promote the spiritual growth of all its members. We aim to ensure that our whole curriculum, including the National Curriculum, is delivered within a Catholic environment in which pupils can grow and acquire concepts, knowledge, skills, attitudes and values in preparation for future life.

Our school acknowledges that each person is unique and we should strive for the fullest development of every pupil and all those who work in the school, promoting equal opportunity and respect for all.

Our school aims to promote justice and understanding in our world by forging positive links with the community, other schools, other faiths and the world of work.

In declaring these aims, the term "School" encompasses all the staff, pupils, parents, governors, clergy and everybody concerned in the organisation and running of the school.

The aims are not listed in any order of priority.

Principal's Welcome

We are a small family community with a strong Christian ethos. We take tremendous pride in knowing our children very well and being committed to offering them the finest start to their education, where they can thrive in a safe, caring, welcoming and happy environment of mutual respect.

Our vision remains rooted in our Mission Statement which is the foundation for all learning where: We welcome everyone into our community to live, love and learn together in the light and example of Jesus Christ.

Being a fully inclusive school, we value every individual and the contributions they make. We want our children to experience the pleasure of achieving personal academic successes, linked to a strong sense of morality and fairness, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ within our Christian faith.

As a family school, our partnership with parents is of paramount important to us. We believe that children learn best when home, school and parish work together for their benefit.

I feel most privileged to serve the community of Our Lady of Fatima Primary School as Principal and look forward to working with you. I would like to sincerely thank you in advance for the hard work, dedication and generosity you bring to our school family.
