At Prendergast Ladywell School we believe that all our students can achieve excellence and that they deserve the very best teachers and resources to reach their potential.

Prendergast Ladywell School is an 11 – 16 secondary school at the heart of the community in Ladywell and is part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools.

The school  has outstanding facilities and a modern learning environment to inspire young people to be successful. We are a new school, built only 8 years ago, and as you would expect our teaching resources are world class.

The school is adjacent to Ladywell Fields Park and within a short walking distance to Catford and Catford Bridge stations, with journey times of just 20 minutes to London.

We hope that our website www.prendergast-ladywell.com and our Careers site will give you a flavour of our school and that you will want to join us and our team.

Prendergast Ladywell School is going through a transformation to become a school that is a first choice for parents in our local community.

The senior leadership team is taking decisive action to improve the school and the educational outcomes for our pupils. Together with the support of the Governors and the staff real transformation and progress is being made.

Behaviour throughout the school is better and the behaviour reward system is proving very popular amongst our pupils.

Exceptional Music, Drama and Art teachers have nurtured the talents of young people who have, within years of leaving the school, achieved national recognition, they have appeared and performed on television and on stage.

Our Sport provision is outstanding; we have repeatedly won the accolade of the best sports school in the borough of Lewisham, indeed we are the Lewisham hub school for excellence in sport. Our expertise here has led to us being the lead school for primary outreach.

We are very proud of our school and the improvements that we have achieved over the past three years and are committed to the continuous improvement and development of Prendergast Ladywell School.

Prendergast Primary School

Prendergast Primary School opened in September 2014 as a two form school on a site shared with Prendergast Ladywell School. The school is the newest member of the Leathersellers' Federation of Schools.

In November 2015 we moved into our brand-new, purpose built site close to beautiful parkland and local amenities, enabling us to offer a rich, diverse curriculum and fantastic learning opportunities for all our children.
