We are building a family at Prendergast Vale School with academic excellence at the heart of everything we do.   Prendergast Vale School is part of the Leathersellers' Federation of Schools. The school opened in September 2011 and is an all-through school for three to 16 year olds. Pupils transfer to Prendergast Sixth Form College for their sixth form studies. In September 2015 the school welcomed it's first Year 11 students. The school is in the heart of Lewisham town and is within easy walking distance of Lewisham station , with journey times of just 10 minutes to London, while the Docklands Light Railway has its southern terminus in Lewisham. The London Underground is also easily accessible at nearby New Cross. Prendergast Vale School is an oversubscribed successful school in the heart of Lewisham and we have quickly established ourselves as the first choice school of parents in our local community. In 2016 our first Year 11 cohort achieved 58% A* - C GCSE including English and Maths. We are very proud of our school and its success and are committed to the continuous improvement and development of Prendergast Vale School. Our school motto is "In perpetuum discimus" (we are forever learning), we aim to live up to this motto and be a school community that is continuously learning and developing.

Pension scheme

The Federation participates in the Ride2Work scheme which allows staff to obtain substantial discounts, via tax allowances, for the purchase of a bicycle. The aim of the scheme is that the bicycle is primarily used for travel to and from work.

The Federation offers interest free season ticket loans to staff to enable them to purchase an annual ticket for travel to and from work.

The Federation offers interest free computer loans to staff to enable them to purchase a personal computer. 

Confidential care

All staff have free access to a 24-hour confidential employee assistance programme, Worklife Support, designed to help individuals deal with a range of personal and general problems.

Annual leave (support staff only)

The minimum annual leave entitlement for support staff is 26 days a year (pro-rata for part-time) increasing to 31 days after 5 years’ service and 34 days after 10 years’ service.
