Welcome To Our School

We are very proud of the fact that high quality teaching leads to good and outstanding progress so many of our children learn faster than their peers locally and nationally.

Our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Aspiration are always at the heart of everything we do and at Sea Mills Primary we aim to give every child the very best start possible to their education.

Our intent is to provide children with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive and succeed in the modern world.  We will encourage children to be curious and ask questions, deepen their understanding of the world around them and develop their own opinions. On leaving us for the next stage of learning, we aim for all of our children to reach their full potential in reading, writing and maths which will enable them to engage with the full curriculum.

We support the whole family through specialised pastoral support which promotes emotional health and wellbeing for all.

Our children will be happy, respectful, responsible members of society. We will nurture resilient and confident learners with high aspirations.

Our Aims

Here at Sea Mills Primary School, we are always ready to find new ways to better the teaching and learning experience we provide in order to improve the outcomes of those in our care.

We are excited about the year ahead and have set ourselves and all members of our school community some goals:

  • To continue to develop an engaging Curriculum that is locally based, child led and which improves outcomes
  • To improve enjoyment and achievement in reading
  • To consistently deliver high quality teaching in order to close the gaps  in R, W, M particularly for our disadvantaged pupils

Our Values

Our values of respect, responsibility and aspiration are the foundations our school is built on and feed directly into our golden rules.

You will hear it in the language spoken by our staff and children. Children throughout our school can talk about these values and what they look like in action. They are run through our expectations of behaviour and are often quoted by children in their explanation as to why they reached the pinnacle of our ‘going for gold’ behaviour ladder.

Our cycle of collective worship is centred around respect, responsibility and aspiration and all our displays will reflect these values in their presentation, content and ethos.
