About Us

We are proud that we are a small, caring, Church of England school. Our vision is to look after everyone, and by doing this, the children have fun and do their very best. Our children flourish and are well prepared for their next stage of their education.

Our Ofsted in March 2017 said that ‘You demonstrate a deeply held belief that every pupil deserves the best education. All staff work tirelessly to support pupils’ well-being and ensure that they make good progress in their academic and personal development. The school has developed a strong ethos where every child is valued.’

In September 2018, the children chose to use the parable of the Good Samaritan to represent our school vision showing how they value caring for others. It is through creating this caring Christian community, the children feel confident to do their very best and to have fun.

Our Vision and Values

Our Vision

Our vision is – ‘To have fun, do our very best, and look after everyone in a caring, Christian, community’.

Siddington, as a church school, focuses on caring for everyone. This is taught by Jesus through the parable of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10). By caring for everyone in our community, everyone is then enabled to have fun and to do their very best.'

In both schools children and staff will use our values of Respect, Compassion, Courage, Truthfulness, Forgiveness and Thankfulness to show how we put our vision into action.

Our curriculum, extra-curriculum and enrichment activities (passport of 10 things we want all children to experience before they leave school) all help to provide opportunities to meet the spiritual needs of our children.

Our Values

Our school values of Respect, Compassion, Courage, Truthfulness, Forgiveness and Thankfulness help us to live out our school’s vision. In order to have fun, do our very best and look after everyone in a caring Christian community we have to be able to demonstrate these values. These based on bible teaching and can be particularly seen in the teaching of Jesus in the Parable of the Good Samaritan.

Our values help to shape our Collective Worship. Every two terms one value is chosen as our focus and we learn about what the Bible teaches us about this value and how we can live these values out in our daily lives. This means that every two years all our values are covered.
