Overview

"Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow." - Anthony J. D'Angelo

Amalgamated in 2018, Southville Primary School is a popular three form entry primary school in Feltham. It is a short walk away from the bustling town center and a direct train line into London Waterloo. We were rated as 'Good' in our recent 2023 OFSTED inspection.

Our school vision is of a school where children aspire, succeed and flourish while laying the foundations for the best possible pathway to their future. As a result, we are both deeply invested in our children's education but also make connections with their families and our local community which is wonderfully diverse and rich in culture.

We have a large student body with many students coming from families where English is not a first language, and where home-life is tough. As a result, we do everything within our power to empower the students that walk through our doors and give them the tools they need to leave primary school and become the people they want to be. We work to make passionate learners who are curious and resilient.

Our Ethos

At Southville Primary School, we have high expectations of success and development for every individual child.

We aim to do this by providing an outstanding level of pastoral care. By focusing our efforts on our children's wellbeing, we create a safe and comfortable place where children feel confident to explore new things and safe to leave their comfort zone.

We are constantly looking at new ways to raise standards and further improve our provision so that we can adapt to the ever changing needs of our children and to ensure that we are providing the perfect environment for children to develop lively, enquiring minds. We want school to be something they look forward to.

We strive to provide outstanding support and intervention for all children with additional needs.

We are passionate about ensuring that all children have access to a dynamic, creative, exciting curriculum to strengthen the desire in pupils to take an active role in their own learning. We aim to guide children towards becoming inquisitive learners with a passion for life and learning to enable every pupil to reach their full potential, academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

We acknowledge the importance of providing the children with positive, inspiring role models (including staff and visitors to the school).

We value the important role that parents play in their children’s education, and seek to support them in this important role; creating opportunities for parents to be active partners in their children's learning and for them to take become an active part in the general life of the school. Our pastoral team also make sure to support parents to ensure that parents are confident in their roles.

We seek to help children prepare for becoming active citizens by developing and nurturing our values of respect, responsibility, confidence, compassion, happiness and aspirations.

It is vitally important to us that children enjoy their time at school, develop social skills and a high self-esteem, and build lasting friendships.
