Headteacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to St Bernadette Catholic Primary school and Pre-School.

Our aim as a Catholic community is to develop our pupils' knowledge and understanding of our faith, while promoting Christian values in all aspects of daily life. We place children at the heart of all we do in a community of learning, laughter, excitement, prayer and experience.

Our school operates in partnership with Clifton Diocese and the Bristol Local Authority. The school also works alongside the local parish and the Aquinas Partnership. The school admission authority includes the parishes of St Bernadette, Whitchurch, St Gerard Majella, Knowle and Sacred Heart, Chew Magna.

Our school community consists of children from many different cultures and faiths. We pride ourselves on the richness that this diversity brings to all aspects of our school life, making us inclusive, confident and forward thinking.

Our school provides our children with a broad and balanced curriculum, always striving for excellence in an environment where everyone is nurtured, valued and safe. We are very proud of our children; they enjoy learning, they are supportive of each other and the school environment, they are polite, respectful, and work hard.

We maintain a strong partnership between parents, staff, governors, and the children themselves. We welcome parental involvement in all aspects of academic learning and wider school activities. We pride ourselves in being approachable and interested in your thoughts and opinions.

Mrs Barbara Lee
