St Botolph's Primary School is an aspirational, purposeful school with a very dedicated staff who care about the needs of every child. This picture shows the stone building which was the original school, established 1n 1837. The next St Botolph's school was built on the site behind it in 1975 and then in February 2022 we moved the whole school in to a former Secondary school which has been totally refurbished to be a flagship Primary school for the Local Authority.

The school is controlled by the Local Education Authority who recognise the Church of England’s foundation of a school in Shepshed. The school is situated on a shared campus with Iveshead School.  There are currently 310 children on roll.

The catchment area consists of both private and rented housing, however children attending St. Botolph’s come from all of Shepshed and beyond. The school underwent a successful OFSTED inspection in November 2021. St. Botolph’s has a positive, happy atmosphere with everyone working together as a family.

Our school is proud to be a Church of England School.We are part of the Leicester Academies Church Trust, which allows us to receive advice and support from the Diocese of Leicester Board of Education.
