St. Chrysostom's Church of England Primary school is an outstanding Christian school situated close to Manchester city centre.
We serve a colourful and diverse local community, with approximately 400 children currently on roll. St. Chrysostom’s school has a strong partnership with St. John’s School in Longsight, Manchester. We share the same church, St. Chrysostom’s; have the same Executive Headteacher, Mr Matthews; and our children and staff do lots of exciting work together.
We are a warm and friendly school, striving to ensure we meet the needs of every individual child, and enable them to leave St. Chrysostom’s as independent learners with a thirst for knowledge. We are extremely proud of the children’s most recent academic achievements this academic year (2014 – 2015) – 85% of our wonderful Year 6 children achieved level 4 and above in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, and 87% of our fantastic Year 1s passed their phonics screening assessments!
At St. Chrysostom’s we actively celebrate and deeply value the diversity of our children, staff and the local community. We teach the children to recognise and respect each other’s values and beliefs. Our families make highly valued contributions to the life of the school and have an active role within our school community.
