At St Peter’s staff, pupils, parents, governors and friends of the school all work together to achieve the following aims.
• to ensure there is a happy, safe, secure, stimulating and supportive learning environment where Christian beliefs and values are central to the ethos of the school and its teaching
• to provide quality education through a broad and balanced curriculum, in order that pupils can achieve their full potential and develop responsible and enthusiastic attitudes to learning
• to extend quality of care to all members of the school community leading to attitudes of mutual respect, responsibility and self discipline in a multi-cultural society
• to promote and nurture strong links between school, home, church parish and the wider community including other schools, preschools and nurseries, the Local Authority and the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education
• to employ all available financial resources wisely and effectively Our school badge depicts crossed keys. Jesus gave St Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
We believe that at St Peter’s School we are giving our pupils the key to learning, hence our mission statement ‘Learning for Life’.
