Headteachers Welcome

At St Richard Gwyn, we aim to offer the best possible education through a broad and stimulating curriculum, a wealth of activities beyond the classroom and outstanding pastoral care. Students make excellent progress and achieve strong exam results, due to our high expectations. We have a relentless focus on academic success and we understand the important part that it plays in developing an aspirational future for our students. We are continually looking to raise standards by improving learning experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. We are always looking to develop our practice to ensure our students make excellent progress. Our committed and hard-working staff are keen to keep up-to-date with the latest research in teaching and learning, often leading developments in their respective areas. This allows us to give our students broad and enriching experiences that build on the skills that they need to lead purposeful and fulfilling lives.

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Psalm 25:4

Our school is proud to be an #EMATter school – part of the East Midlands Academy Trust (EMAT). We are a community of schools across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.

Our journey of study follows that dictated to all Catholic schools by the Bishop’s Conference and with ten percent of dedicated curriculum time we are able to not only teach the Catholic Faith, but also allows our pupils to engage in the Religions and Worldviews they will encounter throughout their lives.

Below are our Ks3 and Ks4 schemes of work, take a look at what our pupils are learning, feel free to contact us for more information or how to support your child through their learning. All lessons are also shared on Google Classroom at the start of the term, should a lesson be missed through absence, the content of the lesson can be retrieved from the classroom area.
