St. Stephen’s Primary School – Building Each Other Up in Love and Learning

At St. Stephen’s we believe that every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential within a happy, stimulating and secure environment, where care and respect for each other, their school family and the wider community are paramount.

We believe that every child should be encouraged to achieve the highest standards possible, in an atmosphere where all success, great or small, is properly celebrated. We believe that every child should be taught to accept and understand people with different beliefs, needs and circumstances to their own; enabled to develop morally and spiritually, gaining a growing knowledge of the Christian faith; given confidence to grow in responsibility and independence, equipping them for the challenges that lie ahead.

Our mission, as staff, governors, parents and members of the wider school community, is to make this vision a reality, constantly building each other up in love and learning.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family into our school community.

About Us

To accommodate our transition from junior to full primary status (we had our first Reception class in 2012 and we made our full transition in 2014), we have extensively upgraded our original Victorian buildings to provide a bright and modern learning environment for our children.

Our nurturing environment gives staff a chance to achieve their personal goals and access a range of professional development strategies. You would be working in a strong, community-based school within a tight, supportive team committed to offering an exciting, cross curricular learning experience to our children. Our school offers a high level of creative opportunities for children, with a wide range of sporting, musical and artistic opportunities as well as strong provision of core curriculum subjects.
